Band Biography :
2002 ·The legendary east Belgian Hardcore-Band Dopesick dissolved. Sam and Mitch
went their own ways. 2003 ·April Mitch and Sam had first discussions about
creating an new Band fter Dopesick had dissolved. ·June Phetchuap Bunkeut joined
the band as the first lead singer. During a few month they tried to find a new
member on the bass guitar. Some good known guys like Michael Karthäuser, Marcel
Rauw, and Siggi Richter spend their time with the band in their rehearsal room.
But all these guys had already enough work with their own bands. ·December Sam
Phetch and Mitch are still writing songs in their rehearsal room. 2004 ·April
Then in april 2004 Achim Küpper, played with “Darkfall” before, joined the band.
The right man seemed to be found. Indeed Achim did very good work and the 4
musicians had to give this child a name. 4 Maniacs. ·July Mitch met Erik Solheid
( front-man of “Dopesick“) to talk about some “Dopesick”revival concerts.
·September Now it’s official. Decisions had been made: Dopesick will give some
revival concerts in the next year 2005. So Phetch, Sam and Mitch (4maniacs) met
the rest of their ex-band DOPESICK, to do some rehearsals. ·October At this time
the 4 guys worked on their first cover. “Unbelievable” from EMF had been
transformed into a hardcore version. Mitch had been in hospital for 3 days.Due
to this chirurgical intervention of 4maniacs drummer, their work had been
interrupted. So the guys decided to continue their work at “OP” studios.
·December Resulting to these rehearsals with Erik, Sam and Mitch decided to
replace Phetch by Erik. Phetchuap had not enough time for the band… 2005 ·April
4maniacs recorded their first demo-songs. Erik’s vocals had been recorded and
all tracks had been re-mastered and uploaded to the homepage. ·July Fourmaniacs
played their first and last gig in this constellation at alive 2005. Several
bookers contacted the band for some concerts all around Belgium. ·October Due to
several reasons our frontsinger Erik left the band, so that we were looking for
a new voiceman. The problem was quickly solved and our new fellow Marco Azenha
is doing very well with our songs.
