She may have grown up behind the affluent Orange Curtain, but Alicia Gatto has little to do with the spoiled rich kids on The O.C. She looks the part, but Alicia seeks deeper meaning beneath the shiny veneer. A deeper truth. A quadruple threat in terms of writing, singing, dancing, and acting, its music that reverberates deep in her soul. Speaking of the late, great Jeff Buckley, Alicia recounts I feel like if it werent for him, I wouldnt have broken through the barriers that Ive encountered in my life. He was a true inspiration. As a dancer, she has appeared in videos for Britney Spears and Janet Jackson, and was prominently featured in Lenny Kravitzs Fly Away and Enrique Iglesias Bailamos. Her acting has been showcased in Bon Jovis Thank You For Loving Me and videos by The Goo Goo Dolls and Tori Amos. Despite these accomplishments, her greatest joy is connecting with people through her music. I want people to relate to what Im saying, and to let them know that someone else feels as they do. I want to empower others, and give them a sense of hope.

Alicia feels most at home on stage, where her performances are hypnotizing, yet inviting. Audiences cant help but be mesmerized. Forgoing the temporary nature of todays role-models, she looks to the multi-talented old movie stars for inspiration. Their ability to sing, dance, and act fueled her drive to do it all. A natural entertainer, she is most proud of her writing. She has a lot to say, and pours every ounce of her being into her lyrics. She is often taken aback by the powerful response her music gets. Sounding like a cross between PJ Harvey and Bjork channeled through the dynamic sound of Evanescence, her words have literally invoked tears from her audience. She lives and breathes for that musical connection. That deep reverberation. That truth.
