Band Biography :
The BitterSweets are Jen Land (vocals), Chris Taylor (guitar and banjo) and Dave
Doolan (guitar).The Band has been playing around Melbourne for the last two
years. Jen and Chris are excited to welcome Dave! Their broad mix of playng
styles and experience include - rock, pop,country, classical, electronica and
roots. The music is intimate and acoustic: a journey through melancholia to joy
via a drinking song or two. The BitterSweets play a range of music including
Bluegrass, country, folk and blues - originals and covers of traditional songs
and country standards.Live the music ranges from rollicking semi-acoustic foot
stompers to quiet thoughtful songs - featuring a range of instruments including
-semi-acoustic electric guitar, finger picked acoustic guitar, rhythum guitar
and banjo. The vocals are characterised by interesting vocal textures and the
songs by lyrical content.
