Band Biography :
Breakaway consists of Lou Carrollo guitar & vocals, Howie Haber guitar & vocals,
Evan Davis harmonica & vocals, Dustin Hickey bass & A.M. Canon drums & vocals.
Formed in the early 80’s by Howie Haber, they were called “one of the more
creative bands in their field” by The Island Ear in 1987. Breakaway specializes
in Original Blues, Rock, & Boogie. Doc Blues from the Long Island Blues Society
reviewed their 2003 CD and said their songwriting “displays great maturity in
expression”. Their live shows are something to be seen. Check their web site for
