Band Biography :
This emerging singer/ songwriter will entertain you with his heartfelt lyrics
and memorable melodies. His songs range from ballads to the more upbeat, with a
little something for everyone. He plays guitar and harmonica. Growing up in a
farming family he has learned not to give up when the going gets tough and
intends to see his dream through, his family and friends are a great support
system for Codie and are behind him all the way!! Recently Codie was nominated
for three Saskatchewan Country Music Awards (Male Vocalist, Rising Star &
Entertainer Of The Year) to be awarded in Regina at the awards show March 19th.
In Feb 2005 Codie has recorded his debut album in Nashville TN with
producer/songwriter Steve Fox. The first single from the album will be sent to
radio in April with the CD being released in June. The production of Codie’s
song “Surrounds Me Again” has been recently released to country radio across
Saskatchewan and receiving airplay and requests frequently. He has been featured
on CJVR radio Melfort, CKBI radio Prince Albert, Country 100 Moose Jaw, CJWW
Saskatoon, and CBC radio Regina. Codie was the recipient of the 2004 SCMA / CKBI
Boost award.Codie appeared live on Telemiracle March 6,2005. Codie has had the
opportunity to work with many talented artists such as Jessica Robinson, Anthony
Kelly of Shifty Morgan, Steve Fox, and Jay Semko of The Northern Pikes. Who
commented “Codie Prevost is the brightest talent I have worked with in a long
time. He has a keen instinct in his writing and singing that is rarely seen, and
I believe he will have a long and fantastic music career.”
