Band Biography :
After several years playing as “Peanuts” in the Netherlands, and also Germany
and Belgium, the band decided October 2002 to change their name into DAY SIX.
Day Six plays symphonic metal with sidesteps to funk and jazz. Also experiments
with strange sound effects and samples is something you can expect from the
band. In the last couple of years the band has won several band contests which
gave them the opportunity to make some albums. Same this time. Between December
2002 and June 2003 the band was busy recording their “debut” album as Day Six:
“Eternal Dignity” On this album the bands shows they have grown a lot since
their last album “Be careful what you wish for…” In the past Day Six was
compared to bands as: Rush, Deep Purple and Pink Floyd, and they still sound
like those bands, while the band members are barely twenty years old, and so
they never heard these bands in their glory-time. Every single sound on the
album is well thought off, and the band is very proud of “Eternal Dignity”. To
see Day Six on stage is even more a pleasure. The samples you hear on the album
are also used in their live show, and their presentation is one of the most
remarkable aspects. Daan Liebregts - Drums Nick Verstappen - Bass Dolf van
