Band Biography :
From Within started back in 2004 when vocalist, Tony Mancia, asked guitarist,
Ryan Farrell, to start a heavy metal band. Since the band wasn’t complete
without a drummer and a bassist, they asked two of their friends who just
happened to play drums and bass to finish the band off. Once the band was
complete songs took shape and they eventually finished a professionally recorded
demo, but with the lacking ambition and drive of their drummer and bassist, From
Within was unable to achieve what they started out to do, which was to create
fast double-bass driven heavy metal Because these two members wanted to play a
softer style of music and refused to play what Ryan and Tony desired, they left
the band. After the loss of two members, Tony and Ryan found Scott Carey to play
drums. Since Scott plays double-bass and is influenced by some of metal’s
leading drummers, the loss of their previous drummer was for the best. After the
band found Scott, Ryan decided he wanted to add a second guitarist to the band
which would make it heavier and easier for Ryan to solo more. Well they were in
luck, Scott’s friend and former bandmate, Adam Figueroa joined the band backing
Ryan on guitars. As the new line-up started to take shape the band realized one
essential key was missing, a bassist. As a long time friend of Ryan and Tony,
Adam Lepore was asked to play bass. Adam took on the spot religiously. With
Adam, From Within was complete and brand new songs started to form, heavier and
louder than ever before.
