Band Biography :
MK-Ultra is a musical and conceptual bitch-slap to the status-quo. A nauseated
revolt against a world ruled by hustlers, posers, and ‘flavour-of-the-weak’
materialism. Its four band members; Nathan Ouellette (guitar/vocals); Stefan
Bildy (drums); Mike Bildy (guitar/vocals); and Jeff Maraz (bass/vocals) have
been together since November 2004. In that time they have managed to create
music that fuses elements of grunge, metal, and psychedelia into a sound that is
hypnotic, dramatic, and above all, unique. The seams of the band were sewn after
Nathan responded to an advertisement placed in a local music store by Stefan.
They added Jeff to the band and immediately began practicing as a trio. It was
not until the addition of Stefan’s brother Mike, several months later, that the
band found the distinctive sound they were looking for. Immediately all four
members began writing the songs that now make up their long and varied list of
material. The band collectively hopes that constant gigging and exposure will
help them in their quest to break the proverbial spell of ignorance and blind
submission that has characterised most, if not all of today’s youth.
