Band Biography :
Rex Goliath is the brainchild of Austin, Texas native Spad English. Since 1995
Chad has been working on his collection of diverse, melodic-rock songs. While
working on his own project, he’s played different instruments in a handful of
bands from different musical genres. Chad was content filling whatever role was
required of him, but then he decided it was time to record his songs and form
his own band. With the help of his long time friend and bandmate, Jamie Krueger,
Chad did just that. From January to August 2005, Chad and Jamie laid down the
tracks for “Don’t Kill the Messenger” in JKG Studios in Lockhart, Texas–Jamie
on drums and Chad covering the rest. It was during this time that Chad found out
another friend and former band mate, Erik Fortman, had picked up the bass. Erik
was immediately interested in joining, and now the trio from Austin, San Marcos,
and Lockhart are ready to go.
