Band Biography :
The Strange Lights Band has a fresh retro sound that shines with originality.
Singer/writer/guitarist Lonny Roth and singer/writer/ bassist Debbie Irizarry’s
expanding harmonies and weaving melodic interplay are simultaneously reminiscent
of Jefferson Airplane and the B52’s. One aspect of their uniqueness is that
Debbie and Lonny share lead vocals, and so seamlessly support each other with
harmonies that, at times, they are heard as one voice. Songwriting styles are
based on the best of the 60’s - 80’s with a new century pop/progressive rock
sensibility. Playing live, their joy in performance is obvious and contagious,
and always reaches out with artistic improvisation, giving the audience
something new every time.
