Band Biography :
Through the puzzle of freeways, endless miles of hills and mountains, handful of
schools and sprawling suburban communities that constitute Santa Clarita,
Calif., there’s a thriving underground music scene that’s been boiling beneath
the surface for over a decade, best represented in years past by
internationally-acclaimed artist Smile Empty Soul. The past few years has found
the aforementioned locale still very much a valid hot bed of cutting-edge
contemporary music talent, spearheaded by another wave of artists. Further
delving into the future finds yet another wave that’s rapidly swelling, this
time best championed by up-and-coming independent melodic rock act SUICIDE
STOMPBOX. Spotlighted by the outstanding talents of founding members Michael B.
and Jeremy Jameson. SUICIDE STOMPBOX have generated remarkable interest, not
just from their expanding, rabid fan base, but also from the local music
industry. Such professionals have praised SUICIDE STOMPBOX for their unique
approach to the genre, largely through the group’s ingenious weaving of melody
amongst otherwise pummeling passages, coupled with Michael’s outstanding male
vocal presence. These same professionals have also embraced SUICIDE STOMPBOX,
assisting them in every way possible. The five-song EP set to be released late
summer of 2005, will defintely have stunning results. It is the band’s steadfast
determination in musical advancement that’s produced the flowing vocal lines,
intricate guitar melodies, progressive, metal-inspired drumming and
foundation-laying bass lines that all appear on the band’s debut EP. SUICIDE
STOMPBOX’ stage presence is also unparalleled, with vocalist/guitarist Michael’s
towering frame, all supported by the infallible rhythm section of bassist Spade
and drummer Jeremy Jameson. Granted, there are masses of Alt. Rock/Metal bands
in the vicinity performing in the here and present. But as one five-track spin
of SUICIDE STOMPBOX’ debut EP will prove, the opportunity has already arrived to
seize the music of the forthcoming and future.
