Band Biography :
In the beginning, there were four young men impassioned with writing and making
and playing beautiful music. Their names were Colin, Josiah, Michael, and Wiley.
They started a band called The Apes in November 2004, and played various songs
at high volume and with much enthusiasm and little skill. Eventually the band
name was changed to The Inflammables. Several months later Colin, Josiah, and
Michael parted ways with Wiley, their drummer, because they had different goals
for the future of the band. Now without a drummer, they dabbled a little in
playing acoustically. Their acoustic efforts were recorded on a Fostex 8-Track
digital recorder, and these sessions produced gems such as “Six Full Words,”
“Midlife Crisis,” and “I’m So Punk.” The boys distributed these recordings, made
band T-shirts, and quickly attracted a large entourage of supportive and
attractive groupies. Towards the end of their year in the eighth grade, they
decided to play at their graduation dance. They could not do this if they lacked
a drummer, so they recruited ska-enthusiast Terra Weeks to be part of the group.
With some reluctance, she accepted. The band’s sound was much different with the
addition of a drummer, more rock and roll and less folky. After playing at the
graduation dance the band decided to keep Terra around and she still is a member
today. Colin, Josiah, Michael, and Terra then started high school. They played
at two school rallies, but more importantly recorded the tracks that are
available on this very website for your downloading pleasure. All of them are
single at this time, and are open to meeting new beautiful people.
