Band Biography :
Cousins Carey and Josh Haynes of the local Memphis area formed Awake and Alive
in 2003. Later the name was changed to The Originals, a reference to the great
film, This Is Spinal Tap. Since their beginning, they have undergone extensive
personnel changes, including Adam Dodds and Chris Bishop on bass guitar, as well
as Greg Smith and Jason Howie on drums. The band is excited to have recently
added hard hitting, rocking drummer Adam Braddock, and quick slapping tremendous
bass player Jimmy Bass to help the four-piece band, The Originals. To go along
with Braddock and Bass, prolific singer/songwriter,keyboardist Carey Haynes and
guitar extraordinaire Josh Haynes to help create a melodic sound often compare
to musical influences such as Oasis, Pink Floyd, and The Beatles.
