Band Biography :
The Velvet Morning is currently a group of four brought together to play some
music that feels like the beat of a crisp awakening and the perfect tone of
inspiration on a soft morning that begs to be heard. Joe Carson is a singer
songwriter who performs at bars around Boston drawing comparisons from Tim
Buckley and his son Jeff to U2 and Radiohead. Charles Anastasiou is an extremely
accomplished solo guitar performer, inspired by the likes of Bill Frisell, who
put out a solo guitar album under the title “Freedom for Gus.” TJ Miller is a
drummer who played most recently with the local Boston Band, Stereo Soul Future.
TJ has played guitar and keys in past projects and really sticks to the song
with his instinctive playing. These three have been playing with Pat Dole,
bassist for local Boston bands The Volume and Stillbreather. Pat definitely
fills in the rock and the vibe the group needs as well as a keen ear for
arrangement.
